Meet Dr. Barry Farmer
Dr. Farmer grew up in Wichita, Kansas, and attended the University of Kansas. He received his DDS degree from the University of Missouri at Kansas City Dental School, then went on to complete a two-year residency in pediatric dentistry at the Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. He began practicing full-time pediatric dentistry in 1970 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and then moved to Muskogee in 1974.
Dr. Farmer is a member of the American Dental Association, the Oklahoma Dental Association, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the American Orthodontic Society.
Dr. Farmer's wife, Gayle, is a retired Instructor of Mathematics at a nearby university and the couple has three grown children.
Dr. Farmer has been active in civic and church activities over the years in addition to his dental interests. He enjoys playing the piano, spending time with the grandchildren, gardening, traveling, and reading, especially mysteries, historical fiction, U.S. and world history, and non-fiction.
